But, while I got some of it, some it just didn’t feel like Jane. I get that Faith was trying to portray Jane’s frustration at not being able to be in the thick of things now she’s queen. Especially as pretty much every fight bar the last one, Jane effectively just watched and did nothing even when she’d ‘geared up’ and gone. But, the story leading up to the big ‘thread closing’ ending, felt a bit unsatisfying to me, there was A LOT of going back over old stories, explanations and speculating the why of things, much more than usual - and part of me understands why Faith would want to bring all of that to the forefront of our minds again, there have been a lot of books after all, but it started to feel like that was all the book was about to me and so felt dry. I love what it aimed to achieve and bring together at the end, tying off so many storyline threads really was satisfying to read/hear. I love this series, love Jane, beast and all the characters but I’m just not sure about this book. Love the series - Not sure about this book
