![]() As far as the economy, well, that's always on people's minds, especially with the seemingly-daily financial crises around the world. ![]() Certainly the environment has been a huge concern, especially since An Inconvenient Truth came out years ago. The first two are very big concerns in the world, and I was curious to see the level to which people searched these topics. After entering Mike Indursky and seeing that absolutely no one has searched for it (not my mother, former girlfriends, people I owed money to, anyone!), I decided to be more high level in my thinking and entered three different words: Economy, Environment and Happiness. It's kind of a popularity barometer in the search world. ![]() You can enter any term and see how many people searched that term in the U.S. There's a cool search tool on Google called Google Trends. ![]()

Like the other Gervase Fen novels, it’s huge fun with its literary in-jokes and knockabout humour. The novel, like Crispin’s other detective novels, focuses on the English lecturer-cum-amateur-sleuth Gervase Fen. ![]() ![]() Edmund Crispin was the pseudonym used by Bruce Montgomery, who was at the University of Oxford at the same time as Philip Larkin Larkin even helped Montgomery to write parts of The Moving Toyshop. Straight up not smart enough for this horrific little story. I don't even know how to unravel all the hidden meanings in this. I thought this was going to be a thought-provoking, feminist-type horror story about how hopeless men are without women but instead we get mushroom women with insatiable sexual appetites. Basically there's no women left because they all died from some nasty womb disease so there's just this little band of lonely men. The actual, titular story, which I thought was the entire novel.
